The quality of a country’s educational system clearly correlates to its overall well-being. Once a standard for the world, the American education system has fallen way behind in the last several decades. The focus on basic skills like reading, writing, and math has been watered down and crowded out by electives and ideological instruction. School choice is the best remedy. When funding allows each student and parent to choose education, outcomes improve for public and private school students. Everyone, not just parents, needs to voice their desires with local schools, school boards, and legislatures because the education of our nation’s young people affects us all.
